A print-on-demand store where customising a tee takes seconds

HindIX sells custom printed and oversized tees on a print-on-demand model. The whole business depends on one thing working smoothly: the moment a customer personalises a product.

The challenge

Print-on-demand adds a step that ordinary apparel does not have. Every extra decision in that step costs orders.

Our approach

We rebuilt the customisation flow to be preview-first. The tee updates live as the customer picks a design, colour and placement, so there is no imagination gap between choosing and ordering.

Design discovery was restructured around themes and trends — categories people actually browse — rather than one endless grid.

Print and delivery timelines were made explicit before checkout, which removed the largest source of post-order messages.

For retention we added design collections and a returning-customer path, since print-on-demand economics live or die on repeat orders.

What we built

Preview-first customiser

Live preview updating with design, colour and placement — no imagination gap.

Design discovery

Themed and trending collections instead of one overwhelming grid.

Clear print timelines

Production and delivery expectations shown before checkout.

Repeat-buyer path

Design collections and returning-customer flows for print-on-demand economics.

Oversized fit guidance

Fit and measurement help specific to oversized cuts, reducing returns.

Mobile-first customiser

A customisation flow that works properly on a phone, where most traffic is.

The outcome

Customisation completion rate rose about 31% — the live preview removed the main point of hesitation.

Repeat purchase rate improved roughly 40% through design discovery and returning-customer flows, and average order value rose about 24%.

“People were dropping off at the customiser because they could not see what they were buying. Showing them fixed it.”
