The challenge
An international buyer looking at silver jewellery has two doubts running in parallel. Is this real 925 silver, made properly? And what is this actually going to cost me by the time it reaches my door?
If either doubt survives to the checkout, the order does not happen.
- Prices displayed in one currency, forcing buyers to convert mentally and guess.
- Shipping cost and delivery time only appeared at checkout — a classic abandonment trigger.
- Craft and material detail existed but was not visible where the decision was being made.
- Product photography was strong but the page did not let it do its job.
Our approach
We removed the guesswork first. Shopify Markets was configured so visitors see native pricing in their own currency, with region-appropriate rounding rather than raw conversion numbers that look like a spreadsheet.
Shipping expectations were moved forward. Instead of revealing cost and timing at checkout, the product page states the destination-based delivery window and shipping position up front. Fewer people reach checkout — but far more of the ones who do complete.
For trust, the craft story was moved into the buying path rather than an About page: 925 hallmark detail, handmade process, care instructions and returns positioned right around the Add to Cart.
Photography was given room to work — larger galleries, zoom, and scale references so buyers understand real size before ordering.
What we built
Multi-currency setup
Native pricing across 12+ currencies via Shopify Markets, with sensible price rounding.
Upfront shipping clarity
Destination-based delivery windows shown on the product page, not at checkout.
Trust in the buying path
925 hallmark, handmade process, care and returns placed beside Add to Cart.
Photography-led PDP
Larger galleries, zoom and scale references so buyers judge size correctly.
Collection filtering
Filters that match how people shop jewellery — type, occasion, stone, price.
International SEO
Region-aware structure, clean metadata and product schema for global search.
The outcome
Conversion improved by roughly 38%, and checkout drop-off on international orders fell about 31% — almost entirely because the customer no longer discovered the real cost at the last step.
Support load also dropped: the questions that used to arrive by email about sizing, silver purity and delivery time are now answered on the page.
“Once customers could see the price in their own currency and knew the delivery time before checkout, the hesitation just went away.”
